Secret Meeting between Rashad Al-Alimi and a Senior Israeli Official in Cairo

Abraham Accords made a proper efforts to normalize any type of relations and cooperation between Arab nations and Israel. I will confident to express my hopes for a brighter future across the region as more countries tend to join Israel for a safer world. Below is a sample on how small steps could unify us in the long run. Yemenis are gearing up to end the war and rebuild their country with the help of Israel.

News about an informal meeting today between Mr. Rashad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, and Aidan Rolle, Deputy Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs, on Ibn Malik Street, specifically the Israeli Embassy in Cairo was released recently. The meeting was attended by the Israeli Ambassador, Amira Oron, and the Egyptian Deputy Intelligence Chief, Mr. Nasser Fahmy.

According to reported negotiations, it was agreed to open an office for Israeli military advisors in Aden within a month. In return, Israel would get an embassy in the capital, Sana’a, and the Yemeni state would deal with it like any other country after the Yemeni war ended without caring about what would happen at the time in Palestine, and Israel would have to help Legitimacy and international recognition of the new cabinet in Yemen, sending weapons, equipment, and heavy air support to the Al-Alimi government and his forces.

After the appointment of Al-Alimi as Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, he began to expand his relations with the Arab and Gulf countries in particular, as he pays a visit to KSA, UAE and Kuwait following by a planned trip to Egypt and his meeting with Mr. Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi.

After a great weakness shown by Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi, the former Yemeni president, the decline of the legitimate areas of influence in favor of the Houthi movement and the separatists in the south, a major split in the legislative and executive sectors and internal fighting that led to many deaths and international and regional pressures began to increase to change the Yemeni leadership. Mansur Hadi eventually resigned from his position after years of failure, and the Presidential Leadership Council was formed to attract all the forces on the ground and gain everyone’s satisfaction to lead the country and confront the threats of the Houthi movement. And he appointed Mr. Rashad Al-Alimi as Chairman of this Council, with the powers of the President of the Republic of Yemen.

The sources say that the purpose of these trips is not just signing MoUs on cooperation and coordination to combat terrorism and manage the Red Sea, but there are also reports that there are attempts to gain satisfaction and receive support from a major player in the region, which is Israel.

The news indicates that Yemen, led by Al-Alimi, will join the ranks of the nations who wish to normalize their relations with Israel, but after the end of the war and the elimination of the Houthi militia, Egypt will be the Yemeni gateway to enter into circle, which will make him have a strong pressure card in the Yemeni field.

In this context, the President of the Transitional Council, Aidarus al-Zoubaidi, commented in a press interview a year ago that there is a possibility of normalization and recognition of the State of Israel. At that time, the news was talking about negotiations between legitimacy and an Israeli delegation, and about significant progress in the negotiations.
